Privacy policy
This is a translation for convenience. The Portuguese version is the official one and prevails in case of any difference.
Applies to Liame for Windows and for Android. Updated on October 18, 2026.
In short
Liame does not collect, sell or send your data to the author or to third parties. It has no account, ads or usage statistics. What passes between your PC and your phone goes straight from one to the other, over your Wi-Fi network or the USB cable.
What Liame handles, and where
To work, Liame handles the following on your PC and your phone, and only there:
- the PC sound and the phone's camera and microphone, while you use those features;
- text, images, links and files you copy or send from one device to the other;
- the phone's notifications and calls, if you turn that feature on, to show them and answer them on the PC;
- the phone's new photos, if you turn photo backup on, copied to a folder on your PC;
- the phone screen, when you ask to see it on the PC;
- the phone's memory, storage and temperature use, how it is connected to the PC (USB cable or Wi-Fi: band, signal strength and link rate, without the network name) and whether battery saver is on, and the PC's processor, memory and graphics card use, shown on each other and never stored;
- whether Windows is locked, so the phone can say that the mouse, keyboard and shortcuts do not work;
- diagnostic records, saved on the device itself. With the "Keep a copy on the PC" option (on by default), a copy goes to your paired PC, together with the PC log from the same moment. They only leave your devices if you send them yourself.
Security
The PC and the phone recognize each other through a pairing done once, with a 6-digit code checked on both screens. After that, the communication is encrypted (AES-256-GCM) and the keys are protected by Windows and by Android. Only a paired device can control the PC or receive your data.
When Liame uses the internet
- PC updates: Liame for Windows checks the public repository github.com/teamliame/liame and this website (liame-app.pages.dev) when it opens and every 6 hours, and downloads the installer when you tap Update. GitHub and Cloudflare receive your PC's IP address and the app's name, as with any visit to a website.
- Virtual microphone: if you ask to install it, Liame downloads VB-CABLE from the manufacturer's website, vb-audio.com.
- Links: links you open through Liame open in the browser, under each site's rules.
- Support: the "Support Liame" button opens the LivePix page in the browser. The payment, if you want to make one, happens there, under LivePix's rules; Liame neither receives nor keeps any data from it.
The phone app does not access the internet on its own. Its updates arrive through your PC.
Android permissions
Each permission serves one feature and can be removed in the Android settings at any time: camera (webcam and code reader), microphone, notifications, files and photos, calls, screen capture and installing updates.
This website
This website is hosted on Cloudflare Pages and uses no cookies, ads or analytics tools; the language choice is kept only in your browser. Cloudflare may log the visit, according to the Cloudflare privacy policy.
Your rights and contact
Since Liame keeps no data of yours outside your devices, removing the app and its folders removes everything. For questions about this policy or about Brazil's General Data Protection Law (LGPD), write to teamliame@gmail.com.
If this policy changes, the new version will be published on this page, with the updated date.
